Marking the forty-fifth anniversary of Apollo 11's Moon landing, former NASA historian James Hansen has written First Man, the only authorized glimpse into the life of America's most famous astronaut, Neil Armstrong, whose "one small step" changed history.

Based on Hansen's book, the movie explores the life of Neil Armstrong, a very private man, and an American icon.

Before being the first man on the Moon, Armstrong has been engineer and a test-pilot, as well as a naval aviator who flew over North Korea, surviving seventy-eight combat missions. He also was one of the 12 pilots testing the hypersonic rocket-powered X-15, and the first man to dock a Gemini capsule to another spaceraft (an Agena target vehicle).

First Man gives an insight into the life and dreams of a reluctant hero who will forever be known as history's most famous space traveler, and tells the story of the legendary space mission that led him to the Moon.
